Phase two of the outdoor exposition “Young Rembrandt Large” in the city of Leiden began on Monday, February 27. In total 25 early works of the artist will be presented on huge cloth posters hung up throughout the city. Since December the first two cloths have been hanging on the V&D department store in the center of town. In the coming weeks fourteen more locations, including many city market squares and busy streets, will be decorated with the huge posters.
The Rembrandt works for this exposition where chosen by a Rembrandt historian. The works are also presented in a full-color booklet which includes a walking route which takes readers past the posters. Besides Dutch, the publication will be available in English and German.
