Sousse, Tunisia
This photo was taken on 6 April 2004 from the top of the Ribat of Sousse (see our photoalbum for more photos of this trip).
The ribat is located inside the Medina walls. The square fort was built in 820 AD by Muslims to secure the town. We had a nice view of the town from the tower, and there was a litter of small cats in one of the many rooms, constantly meowing.
